Brief History of Hiiraan University

Hiiraan University, established in 2005 by visionary and dedicated leaders from the region, is the first university in central Somalia to open its doors to students and expand access to higher education. As the region’s premier institution, HU plays a vital role in the social, political, and cultural life of Somali society.

An independent, nonprofit, apolitical, and equal-opportunity institution, Hiiraan University is committed to delivering a rigorous, multifaceted learning experience. Campus Locations

Hiiraan University has two main campuses:

El-Jalle Village Campus:

The original campus forming the university’s foundation.

Beledweyne City Campus:

Located at the center of the city, providing modern facilities and accessible services for students.
